Critique of Gabrielle’s “Graffiti”

Your story was very well written.  Sections and concise sentences made it easy to read, while the universality that you apply to your analysis of a mostly anonymous art form is intriguing.  I like how it begins with a few specific examples of graffiti around the country/world and then, as the story develops, reveal them (I think) as the work of a master artist that represents the whole graffiti canon and everyone within it.  Many people think that graffiti artists are disrespectful people that express their frustration with the “system” by vandalizing property, but you demonstrate how they are only partly correct.  Approaching such artists as a collective entity pushed to society’s margins that only wants their voice to be heard adds a very nice touch.  It would be interesting if you researched the topic even further and tied in some more history and artists.
